Thoughts from Mommy Jan

Adele will be two months old tom! Time passed fast since my last posting a month ago... Well, how did I survived this past one month haha... I learnt how to bath her, feed her, coax her to sleep (trust me, this is a super challenging task!)...

And as some of you might know I had my fair share of post-natal blues aka 'mum-in-law jealousy blues' as defined by my gynae. It hit me real hard on 3rd day of delivery and has stucked with me for the past two months. No worries, I am ok now or I should say slowly snapping outta it. My MIL is a nice lady but I just get the blues whenever she wana carry Adele. We had a heart-to-heart talk and I apologised for my ridiculous blues. Of coz with friends' and gynae's counselling, I am recovering well and also took a step forward by leaving Adele in MIL's care while I went for a haircut last Sat, though my mind was still on her while at the salon but it takes time ya... Gynae assured me that no one can replace a mother's role in a child. The child will definitely know who the mother is eventhough she is not the main caregiver. Yupz, probably I think too much that after I go back to work in Dec, she won't recognise me and don't want me since I don't spend time taking care of her in the daytime... Must think positive ya!

Some happy news to cheer me up is that I plucked up my courage and tried to fit into my working attire (in case can't fit, I better start buying some before back to work!). Alas!, I can wear most of it!!! Was telling Fat Daddy that having blues probably helped in shedding some pounds and fats haha!

Another good news is two of my galfriends (LA & FP) are expecting and due in Apr09! Congrats to them and welcome to motherhood!
